This new piece of mine uses a vintage game piece, one of my illustrations, and one of my handmade clay flowers. As a finishing touch, I dangled

a little silver leaf from the bottom of the pendant.

This one is for the nature lovers!

New Vintage Inspired Pendant....

This piece is definitely vintage-inspired, but I tried to give it a modern feel at the same time. The little bird is reminiscent of an Italian tile. I actually took a photo of a vintage plate, cropped the photo to a small section, and then printed that.
I placed the image over a glass tile, and then placed the tile over a pretty brass finding.

Join as a follower of my blog and let me know what you've been working on lately. The more unusual, the better! Here are a couple of my latest creations to get us started.

The procedure used to make this pendant involved taking a photograph of an old letter, making a reverse image of the letter, and then changing the original colors. I added a narrow floral design and placed the design down the middle of the collage. The illustration of the swallow came last. I placed that illustration over the others. I then scanned all of the images into one digital image. Two pieces of lightweight plexiglass protect the collage and I added a silver plated bail to the top. The bail is large enough to accomodate different sized chains, cords, or ribbon. The size of the pendant is 1.5" x 2.5."

Above is one of my handmade ceramic pendants.

I made a circular pendant to showcase my little

seahorse friend. Several layers of glaze gives the

ceramic piece a porcelain look.

Sea life is a theme that I use

frequently in my
pieces. I love all things

related to the sea,
especially the creatures

that inhabit the sea.

This pendant features a

sea turtle illustration,
over an aqua and salmon

colored background.

Sea turtles have existed for over 100 million
years. They are one of the earth's most
mysterious and time-honored creatures.

I'm starting a new series of Pendants with a French theme.

All have a vintage look. Ohhhh la laaaaa! The pendant

shown above is my original collage, placed over a mahogany

bamboo tile. I add a thick, clear sealer for protection.

The pendant below is protected under plexiglass.

Art, Cards, Editions and Originals...

Miniature works of art... about the same size as baseball cards. ACEO's originated in Switzerland. The cards are usually traded or exchanged, but are being sold

much more frequently now.

I placed these funky little clowns over

the background of an old postcard. Some people are scared by clowns... but not these clowns!
